We are officially six months into the year.
The first thing I want to do is thank God.
Every day I wake up is another opportunity to make a difference, not only in my own life, but in the lives of my family, my community, and the people who take the time to tune into what I'm building.
This year started as a fresh chapter for a lot of reasons. My family made it through a difficult season. My business became more structured. My podcast found its direction.
My wife and I are preparing to welcome a new baby into the world, and that little blessing has been growing for the past six months right alongside everything else.
Now here we are, 6 months into 2026, 6 months into Word Forward, 6 months into showing up consistently.
On June 5th, by the grace of God, I'll turn 45 years old. What's interesting is that June 5th falls on a Friday this year. I was born on a Friday, so this trip around the sun feels a little different. It feels more reflective. More meaningful.
Look, life isn't perfect, there are still challenges, there are still questions that haven't been answered yet, there are still goals I'm working toward.
At the same time, I can't ignore the blessings, I didn't write this to boast about my life. I wrote it to shine a light on something many people give up on too soon, Themselves.
There was a time when I felt overwhelmed by everything happening around me. The pressure felt heavy. The stress felt endless. Some days it seemed like there wasn't enough room to breathe.
What I've learned is that life was never meant to be carried alone, you can make plans, you can work hard, you can stay disciplined, you can push yourself forward, still, don't forget to pray.
One of the greatest gifts I've found over the past six months is having enough space to breathe and enough clarity to remember why I keep moving every day.
Word Forward has given me a place to release my thoughts, process my experiences, and hopefully help someone else along the way.
The surprising part is how much speaking has taught me about myself, the more I speak, the more I discover talents I spent years hiding behind insecurities, That lesson changed something in me.
Your gift isn't meant to stay trapped inside you, it's called a gift because it was meant to be shared. God gives each of us abilities that can help somebody else. The challenge is having the courage to let those abilities be seen.
Six months of consistent effort taught me that, my hope is that more people find their thing. Create something, take the chance, lose a little fear, gain a little confidence.
Trust yourself enough to start, recently, I shared a three-part arc through Episodes 14, 15, and 16 of Word Forward. Those episodes weren't created just to tell my story, they were created to explain the foundation behind Branch Brand, the purpose behind Word Forward, and the resilience required to keep building when life gets difficult.
The story matters, and the lessons matter even more, this structure will continue to evolve as the show grows. If you've been around for a while, you already understand the significance of 456, then you know what it represents.
You know what it means to keep moving forward, one step at a time, there is still a long way to go. More growth, more lessons, more opportunities to serve, more work to do.
Six months ago, none of us knew exactly what this year would bring, now we're standing at the halfway point, still here and still building. Helping others from something I created, and for that, I'm thankful.
Let's keep moving forward y'all...
