8 Years Forward – When Love Meets Legacy

Eight years.
That’s how long it’s been since two people said yes.
Not just to each other—but to the unknown.
To late nights, loud moments, quiet prayers, and the kind of growth that doesn’t always feel good in real time.
And in these eight years, I’ve learned something real:
Love doesn’t always show up the way the movies promised.
Sometimes it looks like sacrifice.
Like silent support.
Like taking turns holding the weight when the other one can’t.
And other times… it looks like space.
Building a business while being in a relationship is one of the hardest balances to maintain.
Because success demands focus. And love demands presence.
And on the hard days, those two things don’t always align.
But we’re still here.
Still choosing.
Still figuring it out.
This post isn’t a fairytale. It’s a tribute.
To the years we’ve both given.
To the kids we’ve raised.
To the late nights where we didn’t see eye to eye but still made sure the doors stayed open.
Love and legacy can coexist.
But only if both parties know the vision is bigger than the storm.
So, here’s to the eight-year mark.
Not perfect. But real.
And that’s worth honoring.
